The purpose of chiropractic care is to restore normal body function through focusing on the nervous system. By adjusting the spine, stress is reduced on the nervous system for more optimal function! The nervous system controls all of the systems in the body and therefore is the reason chiropractic care is for more than pain!
Yes! Chiropractic care is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive techniques available for neuromusculoskeletal complaints. Most people experience improvement in a short amount of time.
No worries! During your consultation with Dr. Emily, please share your comfort levels/hesitations with certain adjustment styles. There are many ways to adjust and different techniques can be introduced with your consent!
While Dr. Emily is trained to take and read x-rays, we do not take x-rays in the office. If during your consultation there is a clinical need for imaging, Dr. Emily will refer to an independent imaging center to obtain the appropriate imaging. If you have images (x-ray, MRI, etc.) from other providers, please feel free to bring them in and Dr. Emily will happily go through them with you!
Wild Lotus Chiropractic is a cash-based practice. We believe your care should be between you and your provider, not your insurance dictating the care you receive! Our goal is to keep pricing affordable for our families so that your HEALTH is the priority. Our office is equipped to accept HSA/FSA accounts as payment and provide appropriate documentation to patients so they may submit for possible reimbursement themselves for out-of-network benefits. See the How We Operate tab for more!
If there are no red flags from a thorough exam comprised of history taking and physical assessment, patients can expect to be adjusted on their first visit.
Absolutely! Our office is kid-friendly on purpose. We truly believe wellness is a family affair and kids learn from watching - we love seeing them in our office learning the ways of self-care from their family members!
First, you should receive a confirmation text or email for your scheduled appointment as well as the appropriate intake forms shortly after booking. Please have these forms filled out prior to arriving to your first appointment.
Secondly, please arrive on time. If you're not able to complete the forms prior to the appointment time, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete them in the office. Your appointment time is set specifically for you so arriving on time is essential to get through the assessment, adjustment, and personal recommendations for your initial visit.
Lastly, please wear something comfortable and non-restrictive to allow for full assessment of your complaints.
